About Us

For the love of dogs
The love of dogs unites us all. It is a great motivation for us to provide physiotherapists, orthopaedists and dog owners with the best rehabilitation products for the health of our pets.

We focus on efficiency in production with high added value for our customers. We are constantly improving our underwater treadmills, adding features, improving the ergonomics and design and operating them efficiently. These values have guided us since the beginning, and we are confident that they are reflected in every treadmill we have manufactured.

We are a Czech manufacturer of hydrotherapy underwater treadmills for dogs founded in 2014. The company was founded by David Sýkora and Zdeněk Maršán, who met during their studies. Initially, VETTRONIC was run as one of the projects of SMAPRO design Ltd., which deals with robotics, industrial automation and custom machine manufacturing. Following a positive response from customers, along with the need to develop a unique product and specialise production, the independent company VETTRONIC Ltd. was established. We now exclusively develop and manufacture hydrotherapy underwater treadmills.

Today, VETTRONIC Ltd. has dozens of rehabilitation underwater treadmills in operation and can count hundreds of satisfied customers and thousands of healed pets, not only in the Czech Republic but around the world. We cooperate with the Czech Association of Animal Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (AFRZČR / CAAPR) and leading experts in the field of canine physiotherapy.

VETTRONIC underwater treadmills are designed for professionals in the field who are fully committed to their work and make no compromises. And we do everything we can to ensure that VETTRONIC treadmills are the best in the world.

We are a team of professionals who love to create and make the world a better place. We are excited to have managed to combine our passion for technology and our love of dogs.

Author of many lectures and articles in the field of neurology, neurosurgery and physiotherapy in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Hydrotherapy or aquatherapy is an indispensable part of human and veterinary rehabilitation care for patients with limited mobility, mostly with neurological or orthopedic problems, whether after surgery or in conservative care.
The beneficial effects of water on the musculoskeletal system have been known for centuries. We use the physical properties of water to achieve a positive effect on the musculoskeletal system and thus improve the physical and additionally the psychological state of the patient.

I personally have been meeting neurological patients and dealing with their diagnoses for over 20 years. Even in my early days, physiotherapy of paralysed dogs was performed both after surgery and in conservative care. I can remember when hydrotherapy was done in improvised environments, for example in a bath at home or in a pool made for this purpose. I can also remember times when dogs would swim and wade in natural waters.

When I got to Bern, Switzerland, to study my veterinary specialization – neurology – our patients would undergo hydrotherapy by rehabilitating in a tiled pool. I then had the opportunity to work with the first underwater treadmill at the University of Bern since its introduction in 2004. It was a luxury that I had to give up for a long time after returning to the Czech Republic.

Over the past 10 to 15 years I have seen a huge increase in the popularity of these hydrotherapy treadmills in various parts of Europe, where I lecture and consult patients. In recent years, this trend has also spread to the Czech Republic. We owe this to the general development of the field of veterinary rehabilitation, and especially to the Czech Association of Animal Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. The initiative of VETTRONIC in the development of hydrotherapy makes me personally very happy, as I have patients from different parts of the country and neighbouring states, and it reassures me to know that I am putting them in good hands for recovery.
